About the Role

As a Program Specialist (Training Coordinator), you will be assigned to the selected VA Regional Office, Fiduciary Hub. You will serve as the quality review and training coordinator for the Fiduciary Hub division. You will be responsible for analyzing data associated with national program reviews, work in progress (WIP) reviews and statistical and technical accuracy reviews (STAR). You will also be responsible for conducting local quality assurance (QA) and trainings.

What You'll Do

  • Analyzes data that reflects quality levels to determine training needs of Fid Hub employees, from Field Examiners through clerical staff.
  • Develops various quality assurance processes with emphasis on work procedures and techniques that address unique work conditions and practices.
  • Performs quality reviews and develops local operating procedures for the team to supplement regulations and directives as needed.
  • Provides management advisory services, including making planned, systematic studies of immediate and long-range training needs.
  • Utilizes technology in carrying out training programs.
  • Videotapes satellite training.
  • Computer assisted programs and computer enhanced presentations are developed for use throughout the Hub.
  • Develops methods for mentoring members of the team on the technical aspects of the job in a manner that addresses individual learning needs and effectively offers feedback to identify and correct deficient areas.
  • Advises the Fiduciary Hub Manager/Supervisor on all aspects of technical training policies, planning, review and research as related to the Instructional System Design (ISO) methodology and VBA developed training packages.
  • Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
  • Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
  • The grade progression for this position is GS-11/12.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Available.
  • Telework: No -This position is not eligible for telework.
