The Program Operations Analyst position is located in various organizations across the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). The primary purpose of this position is to provide analytical, technical, and operational support for organizational programs and initiatives. The incumbent manages proposal and award processes, analyzes program data and performance metrics, and develops recommendations to improve program effectiveness and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- →As a Program Operations Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Program and Project Management: Provide technical, analytical, and logistical support for organizational programs, including proposal reviews, award decisions, and program evaluations.
- →Collaborate with leadership to develop plans, policies, and budgets.
- →Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to create meaningful metrics, track program success, and provide recommendations to improve program outcomes and efficiency.
- →Proposal and Award Processing: Coordinate and implement proposal and award processes, assist applicants with eligibility and submission requirements, and troubleshoot issues related to proposal processing.
- →Evaluation and Improvement: Assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and policies to enhance organizational operations.
- →Technical Leadership and Guidance: Lead projects, coordinate teams, provide training, and offer technical advice to improve workflows, resolve issues, and support organizational initiatives.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S. citizen.

- ✓Additional Requirements: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade/equivalent.
