About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Program Management Operations Directorate in Washington, D.C.
What You'll Do
- →In this position, you will lead a team responsible for managing the construction, deployment, and maintenance of border infrastructure and technology projects within the U.S.
- →Border Patrol Program Management Office Directorate.
- →The role directly impacts the agency mission by ensuring the effective deployment of solutions that address communication gaps and enhance operational capabilities, significantly affecting CBP operations and officer safety across large regions.
- →This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all program management activities for border infrastructure and technology projects within the Program Management Office Directorate.
- →Typical duties will include: Planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling, and evaluating the activities of border infrastructure and technology projects.
- →Directing subordinate organizations to implement CBP-wide goals and objectives, evaluating performance, and managing resources as corporate assets.
- →Serving as a subject matter expert, providing technical direction, process improvement analysis, and strategic advice for major projects.
- →Managing organizational changes, approving budget allocations, and resolving unique issues where no policy exists.
- →Directing a team of employees, establishing production standards, preparing performance work plans, and ensuring compliance with CBP personnel policies.
