The Program Analyst provides analytical and program support for the Veterans Transportation Program (VTP) at VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. Responsibilities include assessing program development, managing fund control points, adjudicating transportation claims, coordinating with contracted vendors, and producing statistical reports and trend analyses to guide strategy and resource allocation. This position is located in the Office of the Chief, VTP, Ann Arbor, MI.
What You'll Do
- →MAJOR DUTIES Program Administration & Organizational duties Incumbent is responsible for assisting in the administration of a program that provides transportation at government expense to beneficiaries and their attendants traveling to and from VA facilities and other locations for the purpose of examination, treatment or care.
- →Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of administrative operations in meeting the established goals and objectives of VTP.
- →Reviews, analyzes and evaluates proposed changes in mission, operating procedures, and delegations of authority affecting administrative operations.
- →The incumbent serves as the key advisor to management and researches, evaluates, and links facts to solutions.
- →Recommends appropriate actions to resolve various program support issues and develops program information and resource materials.
- →Data Collection & Tracking Support Incumbent regularly encounters problems and challenges that require analysis and resolution within an area of the program or functional specialty defined by management.
- →Performs work involving the collection, compilation and/or tracking of data and statistical information in support of VTP operations.
- →Assists in planning, review and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies.
- →Establishes protocols for incoming data, organizes computerized data sets and retrieves computerized data.
- →Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports.
- →The employee analyzes feeder reports from various units preparing enrollment reports and designs detailed charts and graphs.
- →Conducts special management studies requiring written presentations of findings, recommendations and justifications.
- →The employee reviews work measurement functions to ensure basic reporting requirements and procedures are being followed and that reports provide clear and concise information.
- →Maintains automated system of program-specific data to track suspense dates on items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding accomplishments, compliance strategies, etc.
