The primary purpose of the position is to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care by integrating clinical and information processes necessary to achieve successful adoption and application of new technologies throughout the VHA. This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), at the Danville VA Medical Center, within the Veterans Integrated Service-Office of Health Informatics, in Danville, IL.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** In this position you will serve as a Program Analyst (Informatics) located at the medical centers, in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Illiana Health Care System-550.
- →Determines the impact on Service operations, functions, funding, staffing levels, and resources; Participates in various planning, financial and operational committees and boards; Extracts data using a variety of software packages and data sources, and applies analytical techniques to develop recommendations for process improvement; and Performs other related duties as required.
- →Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
