Program Analyst (Health Informatics) improve the qualify, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care by integrating clinical and information processes necessary to achieve sucessful adoption and application of new technologies throughout the VHA.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but not limited to: Provides communication channels to clinical and business teams to support deployment, sustainment, and optimization efforts; includes communication among all stakeholders through each level of the organization, to facilitate and support change.
- →Cultivates a healthy working relationship between the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) and Health Informatics, allowing for routine dialog to enable the sustainment and optimization of our health information technology (IT) solutions and workflows, for the benefit of all staff and Veterans.
- →Evaluates content quality and assure access to knowledge resources, eliminating redundancy in duplicate data sources, and improving information interoperability across the organization.
- →Develops reports and information tools using a variety of methods and tools.
- →Enables healthcare capabilities and the evolution of technology adjoined to the electronic health record (EHR) to deliver quality care by developing, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing informatics tools and access to them.
- →Supports the analysis of a workflow to consider opportunities for the potential improvement or optimization of the behavior of people, systems, information, and tools.
- →Documents, prioritizes, and recognizes requirements for the improvement of the electronic health record (EHR) and other systems in collaboration with the end-user.
- →Performs activities that support the management and delivery of educational experiences using information solutions and technology in all areas of healthcare.
- →Provides support to higher level analyst in formal and informal education and in-services to facility staff as required to facilitate program success.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Not Available Telework: Ad-Hoc - This position is authorized for telework but has not been authorized as virtual or remote (i.e., must be able to work at the location the position is being announced for).
- →VA supports the use of telework to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies.
- →Telework eligibility may be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen to apply for this job.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
