This position is located in the Bureau of Human Resources, Office of Performance Evaluation, Program Development and Guidance Division (HR/PE/GD) which draws on governing precepts established in collaboration with senior policy makers and union representatives to ensure that the merit principles underlying the Foreign Service selection systems function efficiently and transparently.
What You'll Do
- →Directs, implements, coordinates, or oversees a variety of management programs impacting HR/PE.
- →Interprets legislation, regulations, an agency policy affecting Foreign Service performance evaluation programs to assess their impact on current procedures and recommend action to achieve organizational objectives and improvements.
- →Provides oversight and coordination of analysis and issuance of policies to managers and senior officials.
- →Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring sophisticated management information systems that focus on HR/PE's long and short range plans.
- →Represents the bureau at meetings and conferences to advocate for bureau views and policy positions.
- →At the GS-13 level, the incumbent performs the same duties as outlined above; however, the scope and complexity of assignments are increased, and the incumbent receives less supervision than the GS-12.
