About the Role
This position is located in the Asst Sec for Mgmt/Chief Financial Officer/Office of the Procurement Executive (OPE). The Procurement Analyst oversees the development and monitors the progress of acquisition improvement initiatives. The Analyst assists in a variety of efforts intended to capture outcomes and results linked to acquisition improvement, and reviews and analyzes proposed policy, guidance and trends to identify their potential impact on major Treasury programs and policy operations.
What You'll Do
- →As a Procurement Analyst/Acquisition Improvement, you will: Provide direction and oversight to the preparation, communication and execution of Treasury's long term, intermediate and short-range acquisition goals, objectives and strategies.
- →Establish standards, procedures, practices and controls for the development, operation and review of Treasury's acquisition process.
- →Advise and assist high level officials on the general principles, standards, practices and functions of acquisition improvement.
- →Oversee the development of performance outcome measures.
- →Preside over the tactical and operational planning processes through which measures are established to assess Treasury accomplishments of acquisition improvement objectives.
- →Manage high intensity, short duration projects directed at rapid problem solving, data collection, analysis and recommendations for senior level management.
- →Provide expert advice to senior program personnel on procurement and contracting matters.
- →Review and analyze proposed policy, guidance and trends to identify their potential impact on major Treasury programs and policy operations and the public.
