What You'll Do
- →Lead and oversee the preparation of secure postal shipments and armored carrier transports to the Dept of State, regional offices, as well as other end users.
- →Assist the journey person in cleaning to include dust removal, sweeping, vacuuming, disposal of trash and production waste.
- →Verify content, carton assembly, and security of shipments and assure that stock items are properly marked, tagged, labeled and placed in proper locations.
- →Direct or assist in loading or unloading cargo and check to see that loads are properly distributed and secured.
- →Load cartons in secured transport cages and uses and hand-operated power truck to transport cages of cartons to/from loading dock.
- →Follow specified postal procedures for shipments, i.e., weights, labels, registers, and stamp cartons and ensures all mailing procedures are correct.

- ✓Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
