About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

- →Located in the Rogue Valley, White City allows easy access to Metro-area of Medford while remaining engrossed with nature.
- →White City is an unincorporated community in Jackson County, Oregon, in the Rogue Valley.
- →It is about nine miles north of Medford and 34 miles north of the California border.
- →Enjoy the scenic drives to either Crater Lake, Oregon's only National Park, and to the mountain resort Lake of the Woods.
- →Take a family-friendly hike to a waterfall or ride the only section of the Pacific Crest Trail that's open to mountain bikers.
- →The Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program Physician Assistant provides direct patient medical care and consultation to a broad spectrum of patients within the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (MHRRTP) in Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics (SORCC).
- →The PA applies professional diagnostic methods to a full range of general medical problems, assesses patients for intake, and while patients are in treatment with the MHRRTP.
- →Knowledge in assessment and treatment of general medical conditions is required.
- →Coordination with other clinics and facilitating ongoing primary care is expected.
- →Function and Scope of assigned duties: Applies diagnostic methods to evaluate and treat a wide range of general medical conditions.
- →Conducts intake assessments and manages patient care during participation in the MHRRTP.
- →Performs screening exams, admission histories, and physical examinations.
- →Assesses, diagnoses, and treats inpatient medical conditions.
- →Coordinates care with primary care and specialty clinics to ensure continuity.

- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.

- ✓Acceptable form(s) of identification will be required to complete pre-employment requirements (https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents).
- ✓Effective May 7, 2025, driver's licenses or state-issued identification cards that are not REAL ID compliant cannot be utilized as an acceptable form of identification for employment.
- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- ✓You may be required to serve a probationary period.
