These are TEMPORARY, INTERMITTENT positions located in Bureau of Medical Services, Office of Clinical Programs. The incumbent serves as a Physician Assistant responsible for filling medical positions at overseas posts or domestically when there are staffing shortages or extended staffing gaps by assuming the role of a primary care provider and is responsible for providing a full range of primary, preventative, and emergency medical services.
What You'll Do
- →Provide primary and preventive health care services across the lifespan.
- →Obtains the patient history, performs physical assessments to include diagnosis and treatment, emergency and acute care services.
- →Manage health unit personnel and resources, inventory of supplies, provides training, maintains budget and medical records and facilitate emergency visitation travel.
- →Collaborates with local, international healthcare providers and experts to deliver services, implement emergency actions and performs as occupational health advisor.
- →Interpret and revise policies and procedures relating to emergency preparedness, counter-terrorism, emergency action plans, and medical training.
- →Maintain health records, provide infectious disease prevention, CPR and first aid training.
