These are TEMPORARY, INTERMITTENT positions located in the Overseas Support Services Branch, Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The incumbent serves as a Physical Security Specialist responsible for ensuring efficient, equitable, and standardized fulfillment of technical security services at overseas facilities in support of Diplomatic Security's overseas security program through the management of overseas–based regional engineering services.
What You'll Do
- →Manages the installation and maintenance of various counterintelligence and counter-terrorism technical security systems (TSS).
- →Provides liaison between post management and the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) during physical security upgrades and acts as the subject matter expert for such installations/upgrades.
- →Serves as the primary point of contact and senior technical advisor for overseas and domestic technical security program managers in the coordination and resolution of technical security program matters.
- →Serves as the Senior Technical Trainer (STT) to an Engineering Services Center (ESC) to ensure that Regional Security Technicians (RST) and Naval Support Seabees are properly trained and competent to maintain TSS.
- →Develops and administers training plans including lecture, hands-on, and virtual training covering installation, preventative and corrective maintenance, and procedures for system restoration of TSS.
