About the Role

This National Guard position is for a PAINTER - Title 32, Position Description Number D2127000 and is part of the WI CSMS, Wisconsin Army National Guard.

What You'll Do

  • As a PAINTER - Title 32, WG-4102-9, you will prepare and apply coating materials such as paints, varnishes, and rust proofing compounds on stationary and mobile equipment and on combat, tactical and commercial vehicles. ***Indefinite positions are not permanent and have no guarantee to continued employment.
  • Indefinite employees may be subject to separation from employment at any time with a 30 day written notification.
  • If the position becomes permanent, employee may be converted to a permanent appointment without further competition at management's discretion.***

Requirements

  • MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.

  • Military Grades: E-1 through E-9 and WO1 Conditions of Employment: National Guard Membership is required.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
  • An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
  • May be required to wear proper assigned PPE in performance of these duties.
