About the Role
You will serve as a PAINTER SUPERVISOR I in the Preservation Shop (Code 970), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing trade and labor work.
- →You will plan sequence of operations for groups of employees supervised.
- →You will interpret blueprints accompanying job orders, requisitions tools, materials and equipment as needed.
- →You will resolve working problems and take necessary corrective actions to overcome such delays as bottlenecks, equipment breakdown, material shortages.
- →You will inspect work in progress and upon completion to assure efficiency, economy and safety of operations.
- →You will train subordinates in work methods and procedures, proper use of tools and equipment, and safe work practices.
