About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Prepare in-house radiopharmaceuticals for daily use by compounding chemical kits with appropriate quantities of radioactive material.
- →Initiate/perform acquisition, processing dynamic and static planar and tomographic imaging procedures (e.g., bone, brain, gallbladder, heart, liver, lung, parathyroid, renal, spleen, thyroid).
- →Perform imaging procedures, utilizing modern methodologies and accurately acquiring and processing data to optimize the studies for the physician's interpretation.
- →Prepare patients for the procedure, assessing patient needs and condition throughout the entire procedure.
- →Prepare and administer therapeutic radionuclides at the direction of, and after dose verification by, the nuclear medicine physician.
- →Perform daily, quarterly, and annual calibration checks on all pharmacy equipment.
