About the Position: This position is located within the Department of Logistics, Supply Chain at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. The position involves providing transportation and service to Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and all tenant commands. The applicant will operate automotive vehicles of all types and sizes in support of the mission.
What You'll Do
- →Operate both automatic and manual multi-speed transmissions, locking differentials, and tandem axles with the ability to carry loads over 15 tons.
- →Keep record of trips, and sequence of stops and arrivals.
- →Ensure an accurate departmental log is kept of all activities involving the transportation department.
- →Required to operate ambulances, AMBUSES and GCCT PEV (Ground Critical Care Transport Patient Evacuation Vehicle).
- →Assist medical personnel with loading and unloading of patients as requested at the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and all tenant commands.
- →Perform maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
