About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Mental Health Psychologist (Primary Care-Mental Health Integration) is an integral member of the James H.
- →Quillen VAMC mental health team.
- →They provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy, psycho-diagnostic screenings/assessments, mental health intakes, and mental health consultation services.
- →Services are provided in-person or via tele-health with appropriate training.
- →The psychologist provides consultation and evaluation of urgent/emergent mental health needs to Veterans presenting to the Mountain Home VA System.
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Ability to diagnose mental disorders and provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services.
- →Conduct psychological assessments for clinical or administrative purposes, including Compensation and Pension Examinations.
- →Ability to treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities, and provide adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders.
- →Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions including: individual, group and family psychotherapy, caregiver stress support, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal and other forms of evidence-based psychotherapy.
- →Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues.
- →Involved in program evaluation and/or research activities.
- →Provides administrative duties including, attending organizational meetings.
- →May provide clinical supervision to various disciplines and levels of training, including trainees seeking licensure in psychology (full performance level).
- →Serves as a consultant to other medical center staff and trainees and assists in their formulation of the psychological characteristics and appropriate treatment expectations regarding their patients (full performance level).
