About the Position The Medical Technician performs a variety of procedures and tests which individually and collectively involve difficulty and complexity and involve a number of interrelated steps. The position requires a high degree of experienced judgment to recognize technical irregularities, atypical findings, and other comparable problems. The processes require fine and precise measurements or delicate equipment control adjustments, or both. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Process a wide variety of laboratory specimens for shipment to civilian or military reference laboratories Perform processing procedures (centrifugation, splitting specimens into aliquots, and separation of components) requiring knowledge of the correct type tube, amount of specimen needed.
- →Receive specimens and accompanying request forms for any separate tests that can be performed in the laboratory or shipped to a reference laboratory.
