About the Position: This position is located at BLD 576 Jefferson Ave at McDonald Army Health Clinic inside a secured laboratory, Expected hours are M-F 0730-1630. This position involves contributing to a team dynamic to provide services to active duty military, beneficiaries and their families. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Receive patient's specimens of blood, urine, stool, microbiological and viral cultures, tissue, body fluids and cytological specimens.
- →Check that all specimens are properly and completely labeled.
- →Prepare specimens for analysis, ensuring that the physiologic properties are maintained.
- →Ensure timely distribution to laboratory sections of all specimens received.
- →Perform and calculate manual cell counts and properly identifies abnormal and normal blood cell populations.
- →Collect, test, and process donated blood into treatment specific components.
