About the Position: This position is located at General Leonard Wood Community Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Receive patient specimens of blood, urine, stool,microbiological and viral cultures, tissue, body fluids and cytological specimens.
- →Ensures proper documentation of patient identification and proper specimen identification in accordance with regulations.
- →Perform donor screening, health history assessments, and focused physical examinations of potential blood donors.
- →Operate, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot all blood bank, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology analyzers, in addition to laboratory centrifuges.
- →Conduct necessary quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures.
- →Verify proper requests and correct specimens are received and submitted with all required information in correct container.
