A relocation/recruitment incentive may be approved for highly qualified candidates. Incumbent works on decontamination, preparation and assembly, inspection, sterilization, High-level Disinfection of endoscopes, transducers, probes, supply items, critical and semi-critical reusable medical devices (RMD), package and labeling peel pouch items, and distribution support to include RMD pickup and delivery for the medical center.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Decontamination, preparation and assembly, inspection, sterilization, High-level Disinfection of endoscopes, transducers, probes, supply items, critical and semi-critical reusable medical devices (RMD), package and labeling peel pouch items, and distribution support to include RMD pickup and delivery for the medical center.
- →The term "supply item" as used in this functional statement refers to disposable and reusable items for patient care including instrumentation (scissors, forceps, retractors, etc.), any semi-critical and critical reusable medical devices, surgical trays and sets, and various other items that could be processed through the Decontamination and Preparation areas of SPS.
- →Familiar with guidelines consisting of Manufacturer Instructions for Use (MFI/IFU), which list and illustrate various steps in the reprocessing of instruments and equipment.
- →Operates equipment involved in all areas of SPS reprocessing and sterilization processes.
- →MSTs receive guidance from more experienced staff members, trainers, educators, and leads and require frequent and direct supervision.
- →The incumbent will have knowledge of the processes for RMD as required by this position.
- →The incumbent will be required to maintain current knowledge of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which document the processes and procedures for cleaning, disinfection, preparation and assembly, inspection, and sterilization of RMD appropriate to this position.
- →The incumbent will be able to demonstrate their ability to utilize a competency/SOP in the use of RMD appropriate to this position.
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm with Weekend and Holiday on-call rotations Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): May be Authorized Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year.
