The primary purpose of this position is to perform a wide range of highly technical and semi-professional procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of ultrasonic examinations of diagnostic quality for patients of all age groups. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Performs a wide range of complex ultrasound procedures and studies.
- →Includes obstetrical/gynecological, abdominal, vascular, small parts, cranial, transthoracic, and trans esophageal, and cardiology exams.
- →Correlates clinical history of patients, pertinent clinical data, lab tests and other ancillary diagnostic exams to determine and obtain ultrasound exams of optimal clinical value.
- →Receives and positions patients for exams, explains procedures to conduct ultrasound examinations, adjusts techniques and equipment as necessary to obtain a superior imaging exam.
- →Serves as a clinical instructor for students from certain colleges, schools of ultrasound.
- →Provides clinical instruction and technical imagining training for Diagnostic Medical Sonography students.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
