What You'll Do
- →What are the Major Duties of this Position?
- →The Surgical Technician located in the Health Services Department at the Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, North Carolina.
- →Acts as a member of the patient care team during surgical intervention.
- →Set up the OR suite with the circulating nurse, providing aseptic technique guarding against pathogenic microorganisms from the operating room sterile field and surgical wound.
- →Works with the Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, and Anesthetist and Registered Nurses as a member of the patient care team during surgical intervention.
- →Maintains a bacteria free, safe physical environment for patients and fellow workers in accordance with established hospital infection control standards.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
