About the Position: This position is located in the Medicine Neurology Service Department at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Conduct electroencephalograms (EEG) on patients varying in age from birth to geriatric in the Laboratory and/or in the wards utilizing EEG and Electromyographic equipment.
- →Explain procedures, position the patient to insure patient comfort for optimal recording of the EEG.
- →Employ sterile techniques when conducting EEG procedures in all areas of the hospital.
- →Evaluate the technical capability and potential for clinical applications of equipment installed or being considered for purchase and conducts in-service training on new procedures or new equipment.
- →Troubleshoot during the performance of evoked potentials test to detect artifacts or other technical problems relating to recording of cortical wave forms Answer telephone; schedule appointments and make preparations for emergencies.
