This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Facilities Operations and Services (FOSD), Facilities Operations Group (FOG), Reservation Engineering Operations Branch (REO) program Department of Defense (DoD). The Division is responsible for the management (including establishing policies standards and procedure), administration and operation of facilities and services, owned or operated by the Department of Defense (DoD).

- →Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for mechanical systems engineering, repair, design, review, and related Building System Commissioning.
- →Develops and implements new and innovative engineering methods to the design of mechanical utility systems using performance specifications and incentive award approach.
- →Identifies and recommends solutions to funding issues, manages mechanical program changes and monitors and evaluates program, and project progress.
- →Manages, directs and administers contracts for Building Commissioning and various multi-year preventive maintenance and repair contracts.
- →Provides advice to the Director on a wide variety of issues related to mechanical engineering including, planning, design, budgeting, acquisition, contracting, scheduling, construction, repairs, and building commissioning.
