This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce (F) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Mechanical Engineer position is located in Picatinny Arsenal NJ.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a senior mechanical engineer in the Engineering Design Branch working independently.
- →Serve as the subject matter expert and consultant services both in-house and outside the installation on such matters as mechanical codes and regulations relating to buildings and other facilities of different types and purposes.
- →Provide expert mechanical engineering advisory services to the Garrison Commander.
- →Prepare, reviews, and approves mechanical engineering features of management plans and documents critical to emergency planning.
- →Review inspections and reports and provides or approves responses to mechanical engineering issues to ensure they are properly addressed.
- →Oversee, mentors, and provides technical assistance to other architects and engineers in solving difficult technical problems.
- →Perform advanced professional work including that of marked difficulty within functional areas of investigation.
- →Represent the Engineering Division in meetings and conferences with other organizations and with contractors.
- →Attend conferences and serves as an expert in the field of mechanical engineering design.
