About the Position: This Mechanical Engineer position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, Engineering and Construction Division, Engineering Branch with a duty station location of Fort Worth, TX. This announcement is for current, permanent Army employees considered for a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade. What You'll Do
- →Participate in site visit to directly observe condition which impact design, develop knowledge of construction procedure, and allow for a full understanding of technical problem which arise during construction.
- →Plan and develop the mechanical engineering design aspects for assigned military and civil works project.
- →Provide mechanical engineering support to field offices prior to, during and after construction for military and civil works project.
- →Participate in design review process and analyze review comments for rebuttal or incorporation into the design document.
- →Performs technical review of the mechanical engineering aspects of military and civil works design packages prepared by A-E firm.
