What You'll Do
- →You will provide technical expertise and leadership in coordination and management of all contractor engineering and test efforts.
- →You will conduct independent tolerance analysis, review and approve stress analyses and ergonomic evaluations, and approve support equipment designs.
- →You will lead Test efforts related to the Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) mechanical support equipment to include new design evaluations and troubleshooting of deployed systems.
- →You will lead requirements development efforts for new and modified items of mechanical support equipment and evaluate compliance to same.
- →You will influence, lead, monitor, and approve contractor design and quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractual requirements for various contract deliverables.
- →You will assure that configuration control of support equipment is in compliance with the approved Configuration Management plans.
- →You will implement program policy, engineering criteria, and provide information to the prime contractor and Navy field activities.
- →You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, 45th Space Launch Delta, and consultants.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
