What You'll Do
- →You will plan and execute of various repairs through ship checking, specification writing, cost estimating and onsite contractor performance monitoring.
- →You will monitor all daily email and message traffic that pertains to engineering and operational matters for assigned ships.
- →You will review deficiencies reported and assesses impact on safety and mission requirements.
- →You will conduct material condition surveys and inspections of ship's hull, machinery and electrical systems and other components.
- →You will identify the need, nature and extent of repair, replacement, improvement, alteration or other work required to enable MSC ships to operate safely and efficiently and in accordance with applicable regulatory body requirements.
- →You will plan and schedule assigned work based on approved ship voyage repair requirements and operating schedule.
- →You will oversee ship support for repairs to electronic equipment resulting from performance problems, casualties, and other issues.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual located in the qualifications.
