The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior professional mechanical engineer with facilities engineering responsibility in assigned area(s). Considered the technical expert for the organization in mechanical engineering assignments concerning mission critical facilities, data centers, SCIFs and general commercial facilities supporting intelligence operations.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as an engineering consultant and technical expert to senior officials, intelligence and cyber specialists, program managers, and/or other agency representatives.
- →Initiates and provides expert technical direction, management and administration for assigned engineering programs and projects.
- →Serves as a technical expert for the organization and provides status and advisory services to superiors on problems, issues and projects in assigned program areas. 3.
- →Performs complex and comprehensive analyses and uses systematic, disciplined and quantifiable approaches to implement, develop and document solutions and/or projects to address short and long range requirements for repair, upgrade, replacement or installation of complex and major mechanical and mission critical facilities systems, equipment, etc. 4.
- →Keeps abreast of emerging technologies and participates in working groups and prepares correspondence, briefings, specifications and other documentation relevant to assigned projects.
- →Interacts with the program's/project's design and development specialists through a variety of ways, including participation in: Integrated Product Teams, Construction Reviews, Analysis of Alternatives studies, Steering/Working Groups, Technology Reviews, Design Charrettes, Design Reviews, Intelligence Support Working Groups and other forums as appropriate.
