In this position, you will manage assigned staff and perform tasks related to receiving, storing, and inventorying equipment and supplies. This position is located in the Logistics Management Directorate, Distribution Management Division, Distributions Centers West Branch within the Office of Response and Recovery.
What You'll Do
- →What will I do in this position if hired?
- →In this Materials Handler Leader (Motor Vehicle Operator) position, you will oversee material storage and handling efforts and assigned staff, as well as independently perform a full range of warehouse duties.
- →Typical assignments include: Making technical work assignments or passes on assignments from the supervisor.
- →Demonstrating proper work methods including proper safety procedures.
- →Checking on work in progress and reports status to the supervisor.
- →Training assigned personnel on materials handler functions.
- →Verifying the quantity of items received.
- →Updating storage records as appropriate.
- →Maintaining and up keeps the storage area.
- →Operating a fork-lift to move material and equipment.
