About the Role

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for an Management and Program Analyst. The Management and Program Analyst will function in Neurology Service.

What You'll Do

  • Major Duties: Program Analysis 40% The incumbent is responsible for performing daily analysis on all measures and requirements dealing with the Neurology and Dermatology Services.
  • The incumbent is responsible for first level resolution of any service gaps or utilization opportunities that are identified.
  • These critical thinking skills include the ability to appropriately identify situations that require escalation.
  • Coaching practitioners will be necessary.
  • This Program Analyst serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Service Access measures.
  • The incumbent will collect, compile and track statistical information in support of program operations of substantial technical complexity.
  • Clinic Workflow Coordination 30% This position serves as auditor for workflow processes related to patient care delivered in Neurology and Dermatology Service Clinics.
  • The incumbent ensures that daily reconciliation of all workflow processes occur.
  • He/she ensures workflow is as smooth as possible, and that overall clinic utilization, e-consult, TeleHealth Overbook and DIGMA opportunities are maximized within each specialty section.
  • The Analyst serves as the primary contact for the creation of new clinic grids in consultation with the Facility Clinic Profile Manager, and the modification of current clinic grids.
  • He/she works with both the clerical and clinical staff to develop optimal grids to best utilize their time slots and availability.
  • This function includes completion of relevant clinic request form, its subsequent submission through the proper channels to obtain necessary approval, and follow-up to ensure that it appears as intended in the VistA scheduling package in a timely fashion.
  • Pre- and Post- implementation education of all relevant staff regarding clinic grid changes is also a primary function of this position.
  • This Analyst uses the Clinic Access Tool and CUSS Report on a routine basis to determine if appropriate clinic usage is taking place, and if revisions to clinic structures are necessary.
