Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Office of the Executive Assistant Commissioner, Headquarters Support Division, Staffing and Personnel Services Branch, located in Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →In this position, you will serve as an expert analyst and/or advisor to management on a wide range of complex program activities requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment of complex management processes, systems and mission support programs.
- →Typical duties may include: Obtaining and reviewing guidance, policies, and directives from HRM Classification to best incorporate classification and position management principles and best meet procedural requirements into organization designs and plans.
- →Serving on a team responsible for OFO-wide organizational design and change.
- →Reviewing Memorandums of Agreement/Understanding, Mission and Function Statements, organizational charts, NTEU notices, and budget estimates in assembling reorganization packages for managements review.
- →Planning and conducting special studies, personally or through team members, providing expert advice to managers of Headquarters functions and major field activities, and developing and evaluating policies in assigned areas of responsibility.
- →Providing technical assistance and direct support to headquarters management staff in all matters relating to the application of planning systems and management programs to meet mission requirements.
