As a Maintenance & Repair Branch Chief, you will be responsible for the effective management and oversight of maintenance and repair standards, procedures and provide guidance on program issues when precedents are established. Location of Position: GSA, Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Office of Fleet Management, Fleet Vehicle Service Center, Maintenance & Accident Management Division, Maintenance & Repair Branch.
What You'll Do
- →We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
- →The Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Office of Fleet Management, Fleet Vehicle Service Center, Remarketing Division is responsible for for managing the lifecycle sale of all GSA fleet vehicles and enhancing operational efficiency.
- →You will perform the following duties: Provides technical direction, assistance and coordination for maintenance and repair standards and procedures for a wide variety of motor vehicle fleet operations.
- →Plans, develops, conducts, and oversees cost and efficiency special projects and studies on maintenance and repair to present findings and recommendations from studies to senior leadership, driving the implementation of approved changes.
- →Develops and implements quality assurance programs for all maintenance and repair activities to ensure standards of work and compliance with safety regulations; manages vehicle maintenance standards and procedures to ensure consistency among the all maintenance and repair centers to ensure repairs are performed promptly, safely and that costs and vehicle downtime are minimized.
- →Monitors and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) related to vehicle maintenance and repair, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements

- ✓If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C or NonCareer SES employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the HR Office.

- ✓Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959 Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
