What You'll Do
- →As a MACHINIST (Indefinite) - Title 32, WG-3414-12, you will serve as a Small Shop Chief (SSC) with responsibility for the overall operation of a small shop.
- →The position oversees one or more workers who perform work as Machinist, WG-3414-11.
- →Performs the full range of non-supervisory work of the shop. ***Indefinite positions are not permanent and have no guarantee to continued employment.
- →Indefinite employees may be subject to separation from employment at any time with a 30 day written notification.
- →If the position becomes permanent, employee may be converted to a permanent appointment without further competition at management's discretion.***
Requirements
- ✓MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
- ✓This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
- ✓Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.

- ✓Military Grades: E-1 through E-9 and WO1 Conditions of Employment: National Guard Membership is required.
- ✓Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- ✓May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- ✓Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- ✓This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act {Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
- ✓An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- ✓Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- ✓May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
- ✓May be required to wear properly assigned PPE in performance of these duties as necessary.
