About the Role

This position is for the Primary Care- Mental Health Integration Program Manager for the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in the Mental Health Service. The incumbent organizes and manages the delivery of comprehensive mental health services and activities. The incumbent is expected to have relevant specific training and demonstrated expertise in the area of integrated care.

What You'll Do

  • Assigned Duties include but are not limited to- The incumbent has broad program management responsibilities, which include the operation and management of key clinical, training, or administrative activities.
  • The incumbent has technical and administrative supervision of any assigned program staff which may include Title 5, Title 38 and/or Hybrid Title 38, positions.
  • Provides clinical supervision, guidance and consultation for staff and trainees as appropriate and within scope of practice.
  • Manages all personnel concerns including addressing performance issues for any direct reports.
  • Responsibilities include implementation of programs and procedures; oversight of administrative and programmatic resources.
  • Further, responsibilities include monitoring of outcomes using a data-driven quality assurance process for a program that delivers specialized, complex, highly professional services.
  • The Program Manager is responsible for the continuous quality improvement initiatives including annual goal setting and evaluation.
  • The program manager is responsible for compliance with all accreditation, VACO, and hospital requirements.
  • Monitors relevant program metrics within programs assigned and develops action plans to improve any metrics performing at the average level or below.
  • Oversees development of new treatment protocols for patients.
  • Has direct responsibility for all aspects of services in the program, including those conducted by trainees and staff.
  • Consults with and serves as a resource for other professional personnel concerning the need for and development of psychological services.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all program evaluations and documents required by the Medical Center, VISN and VACO, ensuring compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies such as the joint Commission.
  • Responsible for implementation of all directives, and completion of all action items assigned in a timely manner.
