About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

- →Veterans may need dementia, rehabilitation, long term, palliative and/or hospice care.
- →The LPN must practice resident centered care and participate with the health care team in balancing resident requests and conventional clinical care.
- →The duties listed are GS-6 Full Performance Level, GS-3/4/5 duties will differ in complexity and level of supervision.
- →Nursing Care: Observe, identify, and respond to patient needs for care including medication, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education.
- →Recognize and consider emotional, cultural, spiritual, socio-economic, and age-related factors.
- →Have knowledge of elder abuse and the heightened standards in operation on the Community Living Center.
- →Observe subtle signs and symptoms and immediately report to the charge nurse if there are reasons or evidence of abuse.
- →Orient other LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants to this issue.
- →Demonstrate knowledge of routine medications, as well as those requiring special monitoring.
- →Withhold medications when indicated by change in patient condition or behavior.
- →Safety: Demonstrate adherence to safety guidelines in accordance with training classes, written procedures, and supervisory instructions.
- →Utilize safety equipment and other devices/procedures correctly and report unsafe/unhealthful working conditions or unsafe equipment.
- →Maintain a safe/clean work environment.
Requirements
