What You'll Do
- →As an LPN at the Watertown VA Clinic, you will provide practical nursing care to Veterans with diverse physical and behavioral needs while supporting patient-family centered care.
- →You will uphold safety, infection control, and privacy standards, collaborate with Registered Nurses and Physicians, and engage in ongoing training and accreditation readiness to ensure high-quality, Veteran-focused care.
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides practical nursing care to Veterans with a variety of physical and behavioral health needs.
- →Protects printed and electronic sensitive data and reports any information security or privacy incidents.
- →Demonstrates courteous, respectful customer service and collaborates effectively with team members.
- →Delivers care responsive to age, developmental, cultural, and language needs of Veterans.
- →Follows safety procedures, reports hazards, and adheres to Life Safety, hazardous materials, and waste management guidelines.
- →Enforces infection control practices, including hand hygiene, standard precautions, and isolation procedures.
- →Completes required education, maintains Basic Life Support certification, and participates in competency validation.
- →Maintains readiness for accreditation activities and adheres to standards, policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- →Upholds safety and infection control standards, protects patient information, and supports performance improvement processes.
- →Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling, adapts to changing patient needs, and performs additional duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Full Time; Monday-Friday.
- →Work is scheduled between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Requirements

- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination/evaluation Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).

- ✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
