About the Role
The Podiatry Telehealth Licensed Practical Nurse functions as a member of the health care team by demonstrating an exceptional degree of practical nursing knowledge and skills necessary for self-direction in carrying out complex practical nursing care assignments and podiatry procedures within the CBOC's and Medical Center for a Veteran population with a variety of health care needs.
What You'll Do
- →Podiatry Telehealth LPN supports Tele-Podiatry and Telehealth programs by providing a variety of direct and virtual care-related services to patients in the CBOCs and the Medical Center.
- →The Podiatry Telehealth LPN will provide coverage at the CBOC locations for other Telehealth services as needed.
- →Telehealth programs that the incumbent will be involved with may include, but are not limited to, Home Telehealth (HT), Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT), and Store and Forward (S&F) technologies.
- →Programs that utilize telehealth for patient care coordination are administered in accordance with established VHA and VISN standards, are consistent with VISN level and facility level policies and procedures; and support VISN and facility strategic planning efforts.
- →Incumbent successfully demonstrates knowledge, experience, skill, and self-motivation to carry out complex Tele Podiatry and Telehealth practices and procedures, which include prioritization and coordination of clinical activities with minimal supervision.
- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
- →Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
- →Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Telework: Not available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
