This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Midwest Region, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Empire, Michigan. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work a maximum of 50 weeks per year, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.
What You'll Do
- →Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Serve as a front-line, uniformed representative of the NPS, answering visitor questions and explaining the area's recreational opportunities, including NPS interpretive services, concession operated facilities and services, campground availability, hiking trails, etc.
- →Performs assignments in accordance with all NPS and US Treasury regulations regarding the handling of federal monies and accountable stock.
- →Provide formal and informal training and education to employees, partners, volunteers, interns, cooperating association representatives, etc. regarding automated and non-automated fee processes, systems, software programs, tools.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
