You will serve as a Lead Recreation Fee Technician with National Park Service. This position is located in the Visitor & Resources Protection section of Grand Canyon National Park. You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 1 night per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. GS-06 Salary: $45,409 (Step 01) to $59,031 (Step 10). First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
What You'll Do
- →Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Leads three or more full-time employees on a regular and recurring basis in which the highest subordinate grade level is GS-05.
- →Collects a variety of fees for a National Park.
- →Creates new accountability records for the tracking of fee collection transactions and activities.
- →Assists higher level personnel with auditing fee collection program components/systems (e.g., cash registers, road/trail registers, honor systems, automated fee machines (AFMs)).
- →Assists in completing audit paperwork and documenting findings.
- →Provides on the job training, mentoring, and coaching to employees, volunteers, and/or interns in accordance with established procedures and practices.
- →Answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, directives, etc. and obtains needed information or decisions from supervisor on problems that come up.
- →Reports to supervisor on performance, progress and training needs of employees, and on behavior problems.
