You will serve as a Lead Recreation Fee Technician Harpers Ferry National Historical Park in the Visitor and Resource Protection Division. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
What You'll Do
- →The major duties of the Lead Recreation Fee Technician position include, but are not limited to the following: Provide current and accurate information and excellent customer service to park visitors.
- →Collect appropriate fees at the park entrance station in accordance with established accountability guidelines for handling government funds.
- →Conduct fee compliance checks for visitor payment.
- →Provide technical and policy direction according to agency fee management.
- →Lead permanent (career-seasonal) and temporary employees on a regular and recurring basis in which the highest subordinate grade level is GS-05.
Requirements
- ✓Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓Direct Deposit participation required.

- ✓You are required to wear a uniform and comply with the uniform standards.

- ✓You are required to complete training, obtain and maintain a government credit card with travel and purchase authority.
- ✓You must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate government vehicles.
- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a 1-year probationary period during which your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest will be evaluated.
- ✓This probationary period is an extension of the appointment process and therefore requires the agency to determine if continued employment would advance the public interest, meet the organization goals and mission of the agency, and/or otherwise promote the efficiency of the service.
