About the Position: This position is located at Martin Army Community Hospital in Patient AdministrationFort Benning, GA 31905-5637 This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Leads, plans, directs and schedules the work of Medical Insurance Technicians (OA).
- →Makes changes in work schedules to accommodate peak workload periods.
- →Assigns work to be accomplished and instructs employee in work processes and procedures and provides technical assistance.
- →Conducts pre-admission processing of all non-active duty Uniformed Services beneficiaries scheduled for inpatient treatment or same day surgery.
- →Interviews, explains and answers questions regarding the TPC Program to patients and their insurance companies.
- →Explains options, entitlements, billing procedures, benefits and rights.
- →Assists patients in completing insurance forms.
- →Prepares and processes insurance billing documents for inpatient hospital claims using an automated billing system.
- →Analyzes Accounts Receivable for assigned claims to determine status of claims errors or obstacles that could delay/prevent payment
