About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide day-to-day leadership, workload management, coaching, training coordination, and problem-solving support for the HR team while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- →Review personnel actions, monitors production systems, ensures regulatory compliance, and support managers across major HR programs (awards, performance, incentives, PDPP, SSR, VERA/VSIP, background checks, sponsorship, etc.).
- →Conduct studies on staffing levels, workload, organizational structure, and efficiency; develop recommendations for reorganizations, manpower adjustments, and job description support.
- →Serve as a key advisor to managers and employees on training programs, IDPs, compensation issues, special salary rates, incentives, and HR policy interpretation.
- →Work closely with DHA CoE, EEO, SJA, and other entities to gather information, respond to inquiries, support appeals, manage FECA and labor-management activities, and ensure smooth HR operations.
