About the Role
This position is located at the Physical Fitness Facilities Sports Branch. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
What You'll Do
- →Mow grass, lays sod, weeds flowerbeds, trim and edge walkways and lawns.
- →Prunes shrubs and trees; apply fertilizer, water plants, clean out drainage ditches, shovel snow from walks and driveways.
- →Loads and unloads conveyances; move materials using wheelbarrows, hand trucks or dollies; stack and arrange supplies for storage; collect refuse and recyclable materials.
- →Dig, fill and tamp soil and gravel in earth excavations; level ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake.
- →Clean rugs and drapes.
- →Cleans, waxes and polishes floors using heavy industrial-powered equipment.
- →Adjust, clean, oil and change attachments on machines.
- →Wash and replace room fixtures use ladders and scaffolds.
- →Use chemicals and cleaning solutions.
- →Maintain stock of cleaning materials and implements used.
- →Notifies supervisor when additional materials are needed.
- →Move heavy items of furniture and office equipment as required.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
