About the Role

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! What You'll Do

  • Major Duties: Performs simple manual tasks including one or more of the following duties: Loads and unloads carts and pallets.
  • Lifts and carries light to medium-weight packages and places them where directed.
  • Assists maintenance workers in performing general maintenance, repair and/or alterations to such items as: doors, floors, floor covering, walls, ceiling, windows, electrical switches, receptacles and light fixtures, commodes, wash basins and showers Opens and unpacks cardboard cartons by hand, and removes contents.
  • Picks-up trash and paper from grounds and working areas.
  • May rake leaves and pull weeds, as required.
  • Post-sorts laundry and remove damaged items to be marked.Sort the dirty laundry by color and fabric and pre-treat any stains.
  • Next, wash the items, shake out tangles, and dry them.
  • Finally, fold the dry items, and stack everything by type on shelves and count.
  • Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.
  • Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
  • Take action to solve problems quickly.
  • Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
  • Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
