About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Audit Services. The salary for this position will be adjusted based on the duty location. View the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) 2026 General Schedule (GS) Locality Pay Tables. What You'll Do
- →The incumbent provides the technical expertise and assistance required to support OAS, OIG and Cybersecurity and IT Audit Division.
- →Performs a wide range of computer specialist assignments that require specific Information Technology (IT) knowledge on basic audit techniques.
- →Supports Office of Audit Services by providing technical information in audit reviews, evaluations, or special projects involving information technology operations.
- →Prepares detailed well-written technical reports, presents audit findings and recommendations for review and examination by supervisor or audit team lead; and makes oral presentations of findings, communicates with others involved in the audit process.
- →Participates in the development and implementation of a risk-based IT audit approach to ensure key areas are included.
- →Assists the audit lead in the development of audit programs and audit steps to meet audit objectives.
