This position is located within the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), Office of Information and Communications Technology and Services (OICTS), which is responsible for securing the information and communications technology and services (ICTS) supply chain from risks associated with ICTS supplied by foreign adversaries.
What You'll Do
- →As an Investigation and Compliance Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Plans and manages major investigations involving high-priority cases.
- →Conducts research from all available sources, reviews disclosures and related information, and prepares written reports documenting investigative findings.
- →Communicates and defends decisions and produces written justifications and products regarding investigative findings.
- →Analyzes investigative data to detect and assess national security risks and produces written analytical products.
- →This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Investigation and Compliance Specialist GS-1801-14, GS-14 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
Requirements

- ✓This position requires a TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE: Any required investigations and clearances must be completed before the selectee can be placed in the position.
- ✓You must successfully pass a background investigation.
- ✓This may include a credit check, a review of financial issues, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use of possession of drugs.
- ✓A probationary period may be required.
