This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Chief Administrative Office (N), Supply Chain Services (NS), Logistics Management (NSL), Materials Management (NSLM). A successful candidate in the Inventory Management Specialist position ensures the timely delivery of all materials supporting urgent repairs, urgent material needs, routine repairs, lifecycle change outs, cyclical equipment maintenance, new equipment fielding and open construction projects.
What You'll Do
- →As an Inventory Management Specialist , you will: Coordinate Project Materials: You will manage the entire material lifecycle for construction and maintenance projects, ensuring the right parts arrive at the right place and time to prevent work stoppages.
- →Support Construction Teams: You will directly support construction crews by planning, acquiring, and delivering all necessary government-provided materials, equipment, and on-site services.
- →Act as a Central Liaison: You will serve as the main point of contact between project managers, engineers, vendors, and warehouse staff to track shipments, resolve shortages, and communicate any material-related issues.
- →Process Material Requests: You will help colleagues and field workers draft and approve material requests, assist in creating new catalog items for non-standard materials, and ensure requests are accurate.
- →Manage Equipment Tracking and Reporting: You will be the expert for issuing and managing System Equipment Record (SER) tags, and you will track and report on materials that are wasted, lost, or damaged during projects.
- →Handle Financial and Administrative Tasks: You will perform administrative duties such as preparing annual state tax-use reports and reallocating costs and materials between different work orders to ensure proper budget accounting.
