About the Role

Position serves as Inventory Management Officer overseeing inventory management, logistics, contracting, and purchasing for the organization. Develops standardized policies and procedures and adapts the inventory management program to meet the needs of the organization. Monitors warehouse functions, provides training on the various programs/program segments overseen, and reports on, recommends, and effects improvements.

What You'll Do

  • Duties included but not limited to: Provides administrative oversight of all types of supply, service, and equipment purchases in conjunction with established federal/agency contracts or through small purchase procedures.
  • Provides advice and assistance to employees on procurement methods and procedures.
  • Establishes/maintains/administers procedures for and analyzes results of physical inventories and inventory reconciliations.
  • Serves as advisor and consultant to facility personnel in the exercise of sound material management concepts, practices, and control of all personal property.
  • Directs operating storage and related activities (i.e., physical receipt, inspection, custody, maintenance while in storage, stock selection, issue, distribution, control of items within the distribution system, and shipping).
  • Assigns and explains work requirements to subordinates for new/changed programs or functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
